Boycott of Olympic games in Moscow was one of the most important facts in the history of Olympic movement: mass nonparticipation of many countries, political debate, statements of intellectuals etc. The International relations were submitted in the deformed mirror of struggle of two superpowers - it became obvious, that sports can not be independent from politics. In France, both right (pro-American sense), and left (opponents of boycott) support some ideal Olympic movement outside of borders. Contrary to all difficulties, Olympic games in Moscow were great success. Despite of the lack of many countries, games were carried out according to the best Olympic traditions and have served their forthcoming development. On the ending of the games, the Olympic movement became an important event both in sports, and in a politics.
