    The comprehensive school does not prepare its leavers good enough to continue education on a comparatively new level. The higher education system also does not have any special purposeful measures to form the educational activity of students. On the physical education faculty the situation is more complicated due to the specific character of teaching, which is connected with the necessity to combine the educational activity and active sport training. The technology of the formation of educational activity of a would-be physical education teacher was worked out on be basis of the general psychological theory of activity and system approach. The experimental investigation, that took place in some teacher training universities of Siberia, has proved the effectiveness of the presented technology.
