At present, no uniform scientific concept revealing the essence of the factors which stipulate and shape the human behavior formed. Meanwhile, the importance of the behavioral factor among the other factors conditioning the human health has come to be considered utmost. In the present research the most significant living criteria for teenage students (senior school students, college students, cadets) and their connection with the individual physical and health improving activities have been investigated by the methods of a questionnaire survey. The results prove that students perceive health in its somatic (physical) aspect, while basic living criteria, motives to be healthy, and stressors are perceived in the psycho-social aspect. The research presents the data concerning the attitude of students to physical activities and physical training, the hindrances to individual health improvement, and the most acceptable health improving measures. The conclusion is made that motivation enhancement in health saving behavior is made possible when physical culture and physical activities realize the dominant socio-psychological motives of students.
