Traditionally independent work is considered as the purposeful, active, free activity of students self-checked, independently organized by them by virtue of individual internal cognitive motives in the most convenient time from their point of view. In the independent work of students according to the decision of cognitive and practical tasks there are always the elements of management and self-management by the given activity. This planning (independent or with the help of a teacher) works, current control and self-checking of a course, intermediate and final results of the work, an updating of a course of work, an elimination of the noticed mistakes, discrepancies, an establishment and exception of their reasons. The competently organized independent work of students is one of the conducting factors of perfection of the system of professional training of a future teacher of physical culture, adequate to the inquiries of a dynamically developing school.
