Динамику трансформации современных университетов определяют разнообразные факторы. Университет эпохи постмодерна характеризуется разнообразием и различиями в процессах реализации его основных функций преподавания и проведения исследований, что приводит к проблемам координации университетов. В статье рассмотрена проблема трансформации структур высшего образования в европейских университетах (на примере университетов России и Германии) в контексте ряда особенностей современного университета - университета постмодерна. Проанализирован потенциал концепции качества образования как нового ориентира политики в сфере высшего образования и развития университетов. Данная концепция поставлена под сомнение в связи с ее неоднозначностью и наличием разнообразия интересов различных авторов, вовлеченных в преподавание и исследования. Указана необходимость достижения консенсуса по вопросу качества.
The article is discussed the transformation dynamics of the university, determined by different factors. The postmodern university may be characterized by the growing diversity, disagreement and differences in process of realization of its basic functions, such as teaching and research, which imposes new challenges to its coordination. The main factors, affecting the postmodern university formation are identified in the article, with the problem of transformation of higher education structures in European universities (on the example of universities of Russia and Germany). In Russia, the specific factors of the university transformation are the negative demographic dynamics and low international competitiveness of the Russian higher education on the international market in rendering the educational services. The problem of quality assurance as the basis for sustainable development has been analyzed. The perspective of the education quality concept has been scrutinized as a new landmark of policy in sphere of higher education and universities development. This concept has been placed in doubt in connection with its ambiguousness and existence of difference in interests of various authors, involved in teaching and research. The need in achievement of the agreement on quality issue has been indicated, in some cases it can support the process of internationalization of higher education.
