    Last two decades in Malaysia the active rise of sport movement is observed. Malaysia constantly participates in Olympic Asian games, in championships of the world and Asia at many kinds of sports. The most prestigious task of the malaysian sport is the achievement of success in Southeast Asia (SEA) regional games. National sports council and sports department of Ministry of education has the ramified network of the divisions in states and regions, which operate sports activity in regions. The national Olympic committee provides participation in complex events: Olympic, Asian games and games of SEA. The federations carrying out competitions inside the country, they organize training and participation in the international competitions. Now Malaysia has put before itself the next prestigious tasks: to carry out successfully the games of SEA in 2001, the Asian games in 2006 and to wage for the right to be host country of Olympic games.
