    The aims of this paper were to considered the subject of ontopsychology of physical education and sports, to analyze the ontopsychological ideas of A. Ts. Puni and the three basic directions of their further development in researches, including: the age and psychohygienical aspects of physical education and sports; the formation of the sports-important mental features of athletes; the psychological models and descriptions of a sports career.
