    The annals of spartian movement in Tomsk area begins with 1994, when first regional games were carried out. Since that time in Spartian games of Tomsk region participates about 300 children annually (aged from 7 till 18) with lacks of physical or mental development. The selection of children is carried out by the department of social protection of people together with the departments of public health services. The regional games are preceded with competitions in collectives of educational institutions and children's clubs, and also at the regional centers and the cities of region.
