    The purpose of this paper was in definition of the information claimed by students about inquiries and needs in physical culture and sports area. The questionnaire which consists of the following sections was developed with the purpose of the presented research: the data on respondents; inquiries in the subject "physical culture"; the motivation-valuable orientation in the area of physical culture and sports; the self-estimation of physical preparedness. 2158 students of Volgograd state agricultural academy participated in the survey. The analysis of inquiries of students in the subject "physical culture" has shown their positive aspiration to noegenesis, skills in the sports activity. Results of initial researches have shown the discrepancy of the contents of the used working program on the course "Physical culture" to inquiries and needs of students. It does not allow to form physical culture and sports interests and needs for active motor activity.
