    The special urgency the problem education of women has got in many countries of the world in the second half of XIX century. Among various motives and reasons the most powerful was the economic force - desire as much as possible to lift productivity national (including female) work by a wide circulation of a different sort technical and a professional knowledge and skills. The political aspect of female education was not less important also: in this period the opinion was widely distributed, that even if women have no political status, all of them can influence political views and the activity of their husbands and children seriously. Thus, on the basis of the information offered by the author it is possible to ascertain, that the change of the public opinion for the benefit of active participation of women in various kinds of body-motor practice; that the tendency to popularization of female sports in the countries of Europe, America and Russia on the boundary of XIX-XX centuries; that the available potential and competitiveness of Russian women on world sports arena remains the important factor of the international sports movement.
