The purpose of this research was the substantiation and the development of the concept of the optimization of a modern specialist preparation. The following tasks were to be solved: 1. To determine the type of the personality of the graduate of modern humanitarian university and to formulate the concept of formation of professional qualities of the specialist with university education on the basis of understanding of the personality essence, the knowledge of traditions of the Russian universities and the features of the historical stage of development of our society. 2. To concretize requirements to a graduate taking into account traditions of university and feature (specificity) of activity of the faculty. 3. To approve the conceptual positions of the theory of the education optimization in the practical activities of the faculty. The optimization of the process of education at the faculty, in authors' opinion, depends on the precise following the concept stated in the article. Features of the faculty dictate the necessity of training for its conditions not only the teacher of physical culture, but also the trainer, and the professional athlete. Each of these specialties, besides professional pedagogical training of the graduate assumes the features of the substantial and the remedial sides of education. The kinds of the research tasks which are carrying out by students have got not only usual educational process at the faculty, but the realization of three pedagogical practices and the activity on preparation of qualifying works, also.
