The problem of development of tourist study of local lore activity (TSLLA) is one of the basic in general educational institutions, first of all at school. Various forms of activity provide the complex character of TSLLA in training, education and improvement of children, in its wide opportunities for creative children's amateur activity - sports, scientific, art, technical, social and even pedagogical are incorporated. But not all parts of the whole are equivalent among themselves. The basic are more important, and nonspecific are less important. As the most important the author allocates the group of six elements: campaigns, walks, excursions, expeditions, meetings, competitions. This number makes the skeleton, the basic nucleus of the contents of the TSLLA at school. During the tourist study of a local lore activity there is the real opportunity to use senior pupils in real activities - in manufacture of tourism for the native school. The hobby of pupils for tourism gradually develops into their various activities, not only for a personal benefit, but for the tour group, and on general welfare for all the school. A work agencies of tourist self-management at school is the school of education of future organizers, propagandists and heads.
