Students of sports universities as the special social group constantly are in the focus of the sociological researches, spent by the Laboratory of fundamental problems of the highest sports education of Russian state academy of physical education, because it is the sensitive indicator of the changes, occurring in the area of physical culture and sports, and determines the potential of its development. As far as the world of the values of the graduates of sports universities, their policies and vital plans are investigated in many respects determines the efficiency of the actions developing the area of sports education, and also in the area of job and employment. The system of sports education experiences the crisis for the last two decades and it searches for the exit from it intensively by means of the reforming. The author has established, that on the second place on the importance for students of the sports universities is the orientation to the professional self-realization. The workers of such universities should pay attention to this moment and to do the utmost to increase the professional potential of the graduates.
