Sociological researches have shown, that sports in the greater measure than other kinds of activity, is the carrier of specific public attitudes, because in this system, as well as in a society as a whole, it is possible to distinguish agents of socialization, the specific models of behaviour and social interactions. The person, being engaged in sports activity, communicating with people having with him common interests, being a member of the certain group and the carrier of the certain subculture, can not avoid the influence of the norms of behaviour accepted in this group. In this dialogue he socializing and accepts the certain roles through process of imitation and identification also. The basic and direct carrier of mechanisms of social attitudes is the sports activity. These attitudes receive extreme concentrated expression during formation of personal characteristics. Examining the process of socialization through socio-cultural cut of sports activity and the environment of physical activity, the author marks, that sports by virtue of the specific character create concrete conditions for social adaptation and integration of the person, forming the certain type of behaviour.
