The purpose of the research was to define the phase structure of jerk. This technique will allow to make the progress in further researches of peculiarities of manifestations of motor characteristics in connection with qualifying difference, and means and the methods used in training process also. The article results of the research of phase structure of dumbbell jerk and peculiarities of manifestations of biomechanical characteristics, finding of which are presented for the first time. The peculiarities of manifestations of biomechanical characteristics are the power of support reaction, moving and speed of dumbbell, and angular changes in a knee joint also. The important value authors give to the end of the phase of braking because there occurs the recuperation of muscular energy. The energy saved up in muscles, as a result of braking movement of the weight in swing, comes back at the execution of the period of acceleration.
