    The researches carried out by the author had revealed the insufficient level of the development of skills of psychoregulation in athletes of various kinds of sports and qualification It effect negatively on their prestarting condition, counteraction to the influence of stress-factors and the productivity of their competitive activity. This circumstance served as an occasion for the creation of the technology for the development of psychoregulation skills in athletes at different stages of sports perfection. The author created the technique of development of psychoregulation skills with reference to a concrete kind of sports (volleyball) for the stage of the profound sports specialization. Two pedagogical experiments were carried out for the check of this assumption and efficiency of the developed technique. There were three groups of elite swimmers (one group control and two experimental on 10 person in each). The development of skills of mental self-control in elite athletes promotes the improvement of a prestartmg condition reduction of influence of stress-factors by athletes in conditions of competitions and, that the most important to increase the productivity of the competitive activity.
