The program "In the musical rhythm of fairy tales" on the basis of plot-role rhythmic gymnastics allows to combine its advantage with plot-role games developed by the author and introduced in the practice of preschool education. The diversification of locomotions, their all-round directivity, expressiveness, musicality promotes the harmonious motor development of children. The fantastic plots transform the lessons into interesting, fascinating and cognitive games. The accelerated development of mental abilities alongside with the high level motor abilities at the preschool children engaged in physical culture in a musical rhythm of fairy tales was fixed during the experiments (1991-2003) spent on the basis of kindergartens.
