This paper describes the potential for the Sport Education curriculum model as an appropriate pedagogy for the use in the Russian physical education. It acknowledges the place of the sports club in their great contributions to the soviet sport success, but also realizes that different issues come with different times. The sport education aims are to reproduce the key features of authentic sport, by helping students experience sport in its fullest sense in physical education. We mean that students are not only learners of skill and game play, but they become involved in the management and conduct of sport seasons by taking roles such as team manager, referee, coach, and statistician. It is hoped that through these experiences Russian students can achieve the same results that this model has brought to the students in many other countries. Certainly, in many ways the model is complementary to the current thinking in Russian physical education, but extends the options for teachers in the presentation of sport to students.
