The purpose of the modernization of education in the Ural state academy of physical culture is to create personnel, methodical, substantial, organizational, legal, resource and informational supply of the effective and dynamical functioning of the system of vocational training of experts in physical culture and sports, promoting the increase of the level of their preparation in conditions of transition of high school to the status of profile university. The authors have developed a program of modernization of education For the decision of these problems in the Ural state academy of physical culture according to the major positions of "the Concepts of development of physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation". According to the given program the basic directions of activity for the specified period are maintenance of an orientation of improvement of professional skill of the faculty on modernization of education in high school, the formation of an orientation of methodical work on the modernization of education in academy, the modernization of directly educational process in the Ural state academy of physical culture, and also ordering of management of education in the high school.
