    The Researches of the author have shown, that in a pedagogical high school it is possible not only to increase the quality of training of the teacher of physical culture but also to make the process of training more controlled if you connect the formation of the bases of pedagogical skill of a student with the development of professional roles. The role approach is a reference point in the reorganization of training of teachers of physical culture at the faculty of physical culture. It allows to define in a new fashion the system of tasks solved by the pedagogical institute, as they are derived from professional roles. The role approach creates the conditions for self-expression of a personality of a student. Mastering the professional roles, the student starts to understand the contents of the future trade more correctly.
