The purpose of this paper is disclosing of a methodological basis, an essence, structural components and functions of the given didactic system of the teacher directed on the preservation, strengthening and formation of health of pupils. At the realization of the research methods of the analysis and generalization of special literature, the analysis of attestative materials of teachers, the analysis of the works submitted on the competition "Teacher of year", the questionnaire (238 teachers) were applied. The research was carried out within 2003-2004. In modern social-cultural conditions of Russia the problem of development of theoretical and technological aspects of development of the didactic system of a teacher of the physical training focused on the preservation, strengthening and formation of health of pupils at school is staticized.
