    The purpose of the research was the development and the experimental substantiation of the ways of optimization of educational process on the discipline "physical culture" and the opportunities of more effective attraction of students of high school to the development of the valuable potential of the physical culture. In the authors opinion, the formation of the physical culture of students of high school is most effectively carried out on the basis of qualitative perfection of the educational process on the discipline "physical culture" and the wide use of modern pedagogical technologies. The Optimum equation of realizing directions of the curriculum purposefully allows to solve the given tasks in the field of physical culture according to the State educational standard. The article is dedicated to the experimental confirmation of these positions.
