    The absence of positive changes in technical and theoretical preparedness of pupils revealed by the author speaks about the insufficient influence of a school lesson of physical culture on the formation of these components of physical culture of pupils with the moderate mental retardation. For the formation of the theoretical knowledge on physical culture at school it is not enough to use the traditional complex lessons. In the scientific literature the sufficient arsenal of various types of lessons is already saved up: valeologycal lessons, intellectually-developed, training orientation etc. which today is poorly used in practice of sports education of the pupils with the mental retardation.
