    The aim of this study was to represent a dynamics and phases of dimorphical differences in selected somatic indices of polish young people with the increased level of physical activity 7000 males and 3852 females entering the Academy of physical education in Poznan acted as subjects of this research at the period from 1962 till 1992. As a result of the study the dynamics of the selected somatic indices in males and females was revealed. That dynamics was identical in both sex for the period of that investigation. The length of low extremities and abdominal skinfold indices of males and females demonstrated the differences in their dynamics. The social-economic factors were the determinants of the observed fluctuations in somatics indices' dynamics in Polish youth.
