    In the article the author represented a wide historical material centered on the Protestants' views on young people's physical education. The causes of the Protestantism rising, of its wide-spreading all over Europe at XVI -XVII centuries, the core of its ideology are shown in details. The author suggests many original historical documents and quotations as illustrations to the material. Beside that, the author paid great attention to Ya. A. Komensky's views on physical education. The separate place in the article had been taken by the methodical aspects of Komensky's pedagogical practicing, especially in physical education.
