    The author of the article circled some essential problems in physical education of pre-school children in Saint Petersburg. Problems of specialists' qualification, tested equipment using, approved pedagogical technologies intercalation, children's physical state diagnosis, the physical culture for handicapped children, the Olympic education in pre-school institutions are analyzed in details. Beside that, the author noted some specifics of pre-schoolchildren's physical education in Saint Petersburg.
