    Рассмотрено состояние научно-методической базы самообразовательной деятельности в области олимпийского образования.

    The article reveals the status of scientific-methodical bases of self-educational activities in the field of Olympic education. Pedagogical potential of the Olympic movement today, widely recognized at international and all-Russian state and public organizations. The need for its implementation laid down in the relevant regulations. Analysis of relevant methodological developments, revealed that to date in this direction are few possibilities of implementation of pedagogical potential of the Olympic movement on the basis of self-educational activity. Reflects the main categories of sources of self-education in the field of Olympism. The prospects of development of scientific-methodical base and enhance its use. It is shown that for self-educational activity in the field of Olympism today, there are two main areas - teaching and popular thematic literature, and media (including (primarily) Internet-resources). To date, the implementation of Olympic education (in the broadest sense) on the basis of self-educational activity prevents inappropriate source base. The existing literature either not fully available or responsible only to a narrow understanding of key concepts. Online resources today also not able to fully replace print media because of a purely informational and often incorrect content. Based on the analysis of the research problem have been formulated by the approximate recommendations, which are currently being implemented in the work of the Olympic Academy of the Urals and teachers of the Ural state University of physical culture. The overall aim of the recommendations is to organize the work in three main areas: the revitalization of self-educational activities of various categories of the population; increasing publication activity; further development of modern information technology.
